Supporting those affected by self-injury |

Self-injury training After one successful training session with over 30 people, No Secrets are now working on organising further training sessions around self-injury to anybody working with people who self-injure, those who do self-injure and those who care for somebody who self-injures. The next training session will be held early next year and is booked for Wednesday 21st January. We have a range of guest speakers who have offered to come in and help with the training and share their own experiences. We are lucky to have Elaine Hanzak (click here for more information) who now speaks internationally about her experience with a severe form of post natal illness. Elaine took part in the last training session and received excellent feedback. Phillip Cooper, Nurse Consultant for Dual Diagnosis works for 5BP and will be providing part of the training around self-injury. We are also delighted to have with us Phil Hough and Simon Hough to do a stigma workshop. These two are very motivating and thought-provoking. The day will be divided into two parts. In the morning, the main part of the training will be delivered. During the afternoon, the group will be split in half and workshops will start. This will be the first time that Kerri will be speaking about her experiences with self-injury, mental illness, and how she is overcoming it all. The training will be held at Hollins Park, Warrington, courtesy of 5 Boroughs Partnership. If you would be interested in attending this training session, or for further details, please email events@sthnosecrets.co.uk or call 07964226657. Maximum of 40 places available, and will be a first come first served basis. Keep coming back for further updates
